Anchors Away!

Sportfans — hello and welcome to the weekly encounter here at Ballard’s Resort on Minnesota’s Lake of the Woods.

What’s new?  Everything!

The spring fishing opener…  Limits of walleyes…  Lots of excited guests…  Decent spring weather…  Tremendous fish catching conditions…

Last Saturday was the BIG day and to say the least we came out swinging rod tips and cranking up fish.  Ten guides and ten guide boats ventured to the main basin of Big Traverse Bay and it was LIMITS for everyone across the board!  You say walleye:  I say Ballard’s.  You say walleye:  I say Ballard’s.  You say walleye:  I say Ballard’s.

Hey.  There’s no secret right now.  Get north of the Lighthouse Gap.  Find 21-24 feet of water.  Throw your anchor.  Put on a jig and minnow.  Drop it down.
