The Lake 

We are ice fishing!

Hello sportsfans…  Just a quick update.

This morning the Ballard guides moved some of our smaller two person shacks to the main basin of the lake.  We hope to find some fish with this early scouting in order to be more prepared for Monday.

Right now ice conditions are such…  And I remind you this is only for the area in which we are traveling.

Our private access on Four-Mile bay venturing across to Pine Island is showing 6+ inches of ice.  Bitter cold temps moving through the weekend will add to that depth.

On the main lake we have put a few houses out on the westward end of Pine Island.  Pretty much the same scenario there.  We are finding 6+ inches of ice to work with.

Travel right now is restricted to ATV’s.

As mentioned a couple days ago…  Our official starting date for clients will be on Monday December 14th.  That’s when we will drop the green flag.

By then we should be seeing 8 inches of ice.  And we will be using the ATV’s and small heated utility trailers to transport our fishermen.

Between now and then…  The walleye scouting will continue.  Hopefully we will be “one them” come Monday.
